Jess was beyond a pleasure to work with in organising our wedding cake. She was so helpful throughout the whole process, clear, organised and responsive and full of great ideas and suggestions for someone who was very indecisive and changed her mind a few times in the planning. Jess had gorgeous designs tailored to what we wanted and was just a real delight to work with as a person. We adored the cake tasting boxes and in fact I managed to give my 'now' husband the flavour he loved as a birthday cake and we had a stunning Victoria Sponge and Carrot Cake two tier cake for the big day alongside a dessert table of cookies and brownies in varying flavours, again tailored to our likes and wants. I'll be honest we originally wanted a champagne tower as sometimes cakes are overlooked at weddings however ours was really front and centre. Every single person commented on the stunning cake and the brownies and cookies were gone that evening, we had hoped that we might have some to eat for post wedding celebrations but the plates were clean! I can honestly say it was the best decision we made choosing Jess and I would recommend her to everyone I know. Thank you Jess - I know you will be making many more of our celebration cakes but this one was truly incredible and if I could do it all again I wouldn't change a thing!

 

We chose Jess to make our wedding cake for our wedding in May at Ashridge House and we're so glad we did! From the beginning we had a wonderful experience. Jess was a great listener, incredibly informative and due to her creative prowess baked a beautiful looking and incredible delicious cake. The cake was incredibly popular with all our guests and there wasn't a single slice left! If we had any questions throughout the process Jess always has time for us and provided an excellent experience. We'd thoroughly recommend her to anyone!

Jess was absolutely our favourite vendor, she couldn't have made our cake more perfect. Communication was great, she took time to understand our vision, she handled everything with our venue for delivery, so we didn't have to. I couldn't recommend Jess more. Thank you for being part of our day and making it special. 

 

We just wanted to say a HUGE thank you!! Your cake looked absolutely beautiful and the Red Velvet flavour was amazing and such high quality! We were completely blown away with it and it made our daughters first birthday so special! My husband even said it is the most beautiful cake he had even seen and it was the talk of the party! Also, thank you for the delicious brownies as well!! We would highly recommend jess! 

 

Wooooow!! The cake was PERFECT, and even more incredible than we imagined! All our guests were blown away by how stunning it looked and how decadent it tasted. We are working our way through the last of it this week! We cannot thank you enough for creating such a special cake for our day xx

I was the lucky recipient of the figure of 60 Caribbean themed birthday cake shown in the picture gallery. Absolutely fabulous, imaginative, delicious and a real pleasure dealing with Jess throughout the process. Sent a shiver down my spine it was so incredible to see the detail and skill that went into making such a deliciously tasting creation. Almost looking forward to my 70th ! Highly recommend Jess @barnesy bakes. Due to time constraints I needed to outsource my daughter’s birthday cake/cupcakes. Super tasty chocolate cupcake with ganache icing and fresh strawberries. I opted for extra red velvet cupcakes as a backup. Texture of cake excellent. Icing not too sweet, good quality ingredients, the way we like it. Thank you Jess. We will be ordering again!

 

When planning my wife’s birthday (a special one) under lockdown I was filled with dread that we couldn’t see friends or family - couldn’t shop for that ‘perfect’ gift and was filled with dread that the day would be a let down. I saw the cakes that Jess was making and felt at least I could get a special cake made. Ordering was easy and Jess was as responsive, engaging incredibly helpful putting together the perfect cake and cupcakes for the day. I had no idea that a cake could end up being the perfect gift, and an occasion in itself. It literally stole the show...right up until the moment we tasted the incredible carrot cake cupcakes which made the perfect accompaniment to the cake. It tasted as good as it looked with some of the best macaroons we’ve ever had. Incredible bakery. Highly recommend .

Wow. I was lucky enough to receive a stunning Barnsey Bakes cake for my birthday this year and it was the most beautiful surprise! It tasted delicious and I still can’t believe the flowers are crafted from sugar paste - they look so real! It was so good, I ordered one for my mum’s birthday too - needless to say, it went down a treat! 🌸
